Guardian has been serving members for more than 160 years and is widely recognized for offering some of the more implant-friendly dental plans on the market. With access to a network of over 120,000 dentist locations nationwide, Guardian members enjoy strong provider choice along with plan designs that often genuinely support major restorative treatment.
What Guardian Covers for Implant and Denture Patients
Guardian's commercial dental plans, including DentalGuard Preferred and Guardian Direct individual plans, typically include strong benefits for the services offered at our practice:
- Full and partial dentures covered at 50 percent, with replacement frequency typically every five to seven years.
- Immediate dentures covered under standard prosthetic benefits, with separate allowances for tissue conditioning and post-operative adjustments.
- Dental implants covered on many Guardian plans at 50 percent, with some plans covering the surgical placement, the abutment, the implant crown, or all three.
- Implant-supported dentures like All-on-4 and snap-in dentures often partially covered, with Guardian frequently paying the conventional denture portion even when full implant coverage isn't available.
Guardian Maximum Rollover Feature
One feature that genuinely sets Guardian apart for patients planning future major work is Maximum Rollover, available on many of their group plans. If you use only a portion of your annual maximum and stay below a defined threshold, Guardian rolls over a set amount of unused benefits into the next year. Over time, this can build up a significant reserve that comes in handy when you need a denture, implant, or full mouth restoration. Our office tracks this for you and will let you know how much rollover you've accumulated, which can sometimes make the difference between completing treatment in one year or phasing it across two.
Easy Claims and Real-Time Verification
Guardian offers real-time eligibility verification, which means we can confirm your benefits while you're sitting in our consultation room if needed. Claims are submitted electronically and typically processed within seven to ten business days. If you'd like to understand your remaining annual maximum, deductible status, or anticipated coverage for an upcoming denture or implant procedure, our front office team will gladly pull this information for you at any time.
